Welcome to my very first post on this, my brand new blog, Be Financially Free. I am very excited to get started and share my journey in the internet marketing field with you.
Financial freedom…just typing those words makes me smile.
Imagine your life without the need to rely on a corporate organization for your income, without the binding chains of sitting in an office from 9 to 5. Imaging being able to spend more time with friends and family; being able to pick your children up from school every day; being able to work anywhere in the world, at times that suit you. Imagine the ability to earn money online over and over again from the same piece of work… imagine your online income continuing even when you are unable to work. Just imagine that freedom!
It is achievable. Many are making a great income online…and if others can do it, so can you.
Please come along with me as I continue my learning journey in the internet marketing field. I hope to create an interesting, challenging honest and supportive blog in which we can share our experiences and succeed together.
I truly believe that “success is a journey” and as I have continued to learn and grow as an internet marketer, I feel like the lightbulb is turning on more and more each day.
I know that one of the foundations of my success is my own state of mind and my willingness to take action….consistently. In fact I know that my own success depends on so many things, but willingness to seek information, absorb it and apply it in order to learn and then re-create myself again and again based on that active learning experience is the key.
So…doing. We learn by doing. We must get started. We must take action. Every day.
Today I was listening to the audio book “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield. One of the Success Principles that Jack talks about is “The Rule of Five”. The Rule of Five says that you should do five things every day that will help you achieve your goal. Any goal can be achieved with small but consistent action. Success won’t happen overnight, you will need dedication, tenancity and often a bit of creativity. But the compound effect of five actions towards your goal every single day will mount up until you achieve success you only dreamed of.
The Rule of Five came from this illustrative piece of advice offered to Jack Canfield and one of his colleagues Mark Hansen;
“If you would go every day to a very large tree and take five swings at it with a very sharp axe, eventually, not matter how large the tree, it would have to come down“.
Taking five actions towards your goal works because it makes you think creatively and to do things you might otherwise not have thought of. It breaks down what may seem like an insummountable task into smaller, more achievable steps and the compound effect can be astounding. By following this principle Jack and his colleague ended up selling millions of copies of their book “Chicken Soup for the Soul” despite intial set backs.
“Five things towards my goal?” I hear you say. “I am not sure what my goal is just now…I will make a start once I have figured that out”.
If defining your goals seems a little overwhelming and not having defined your goals is holding you back… if you know that you want to start an online business but you don’t know exactly what yet, just get started. Just do something (I would suggest starting a blog) and then the direction you should take will become clearer.
So again, if you are not sure yet…just do something. Just get started. Don’t wait until you have the perfect plan, just go for it and do five things towards the goal each and every day. Soon you will know where you want to go and you can hone your plan and direct your energies accordingly.
Success requires that you get started and take some action……
What five things will you do towards your goal today?
